Are You an Eighth Floor Innovator?

We are looking for educators who have successfully integrated technology into their classroom as a direct result of skills they have learned in Eighth Floor classes.  Have you found a way to make the use of technology seamless and effective? Have you used technology to engage your students at a level that enhances their academic success? Have you found a way technology makes you a more effective teacher?  You get the idea.  We want to hear about it.

The Eighth Floor has been working with area educators since 1998.  Over the years we have heard wonderful stories about the many classroom successes you have experienced as a result of classes you have taken here.

We know how much work goes into even the smallest successes! We want to give you and your students a chance to share what you are doing. Not only do we think it is important for you to show off a little, but your creative work may inspire others to also find unique and relevant ways to integrate technology into their classrooms.

We also believe that sharing concrete examples of exemplary work will help define the magic of the Eighth Floor. You need to be a part of that.

What’s in it for you? 

Although this project is mostly about recognizing teachers, we also want to put some added emphasis on sharing and learning from each other.  We have chosen a beautiful marble plaque for each person selected that will be engraved with your name and honor you as an Eighth Floor Innovator.
